Rolls and Fruits

Looking for something different to feed the little ones? These bit sites rolls are perfect for little hands. These rolls are simple to make and, add a little fun to the plate!

You will need:

8 slices Bread

4 slices Cheese

1 banana

2 T Peanut Butter

1 Ts butter

 Directions:

First you have to cut off the edges of the bread. I set the ends to the side and use them to make breadcrumbs later.

Flatten the bread by going over it with a rolling pin. I used a jar when I didn’t have a pin to use.

Lay the cheese out onto the bread

Once they are all rolled up like so…..

Heat up your pan to medium heat. Melt your butter in the pan. Once melted lay the rolls down and cook both sides as you would a regular grilled cheese sandwich.

To make the Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich, you just spread the peanut butter onto the bread, lay down 3-4 pieces of sliced banana, roll it up and set it in the pan like you did the other sandwich rolls.

I served it with some fresh fruit topped with cinnamon and honey.

These rolls are so easy you can even let your kids make them.  My 8 year old loves being able to cook for herself and this is one of those recipes that she she makes often.

This would be great for a after school snack!
