Peace Is A Promise He Keeps

Peace is a promise of God

The definition of Peace: Freedom from disturbance.

Synonyms: tranquility, calm, kindness.

Peace is in the Bible 400 times (kjv)

Jehovah Shalom = God of Peace.

He is The Peacemaker and has calls us to be like Him.

God’s peace, which may not make sense at times, will bring protection for how we feel and how we think. What we feel in our hearts can misguided us and throw us off our course when untamed and unchecked.

If you have anger or bitterness sitting in your heart, it can lead you into doing or saying things that are sinful, mean, or regretful.

How we think/what we think, can distract us and robbed us of God’s joy which is rooted in experiencing His perfect peace.

God’s peace is different from worldly peace. His peace does not shift at the sight of discomfort. Worldly peace dissolves at the sight of trouble. That is where the despair, bitterness, anger, worry, and depression can set in. People tend to run away at the sight of trouble instead of standing their ground in the face of trouble, because they know who stands beside them. We can find peace in the truth. God will never leave us nor forsake us.

God’s peace keeps us safe, calm, and strong. We are victorious in His peace. We produce the fruit of Peace when we surrender to Him, and allow His peace to cover us.

This fruit of the spirit provides the inner peace of mind and contentment that is found by living God’s way of life, even in less than perfect situations. It’s not a state of mind nor a circumstance in nature, it is the condition of our heart.

Peace is a practice. Like a muscle, you work at it to keep it strong.

How do we do keep it strong?

-Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

-Renew your mind in His word (Romans 8:6, 12:2)

-Seek his peace at all cost (Psalms 34:14)

Peace is a promise He keeps, and It is a beautiful gift from the Peacemaker.

Heavenly Father, thank you for being with us right now. Thank you for being our strong tower. I ask you, Jehovah Shalom, Lord of peace, to bring an abundance of peace over the hearts of your children in this very moment. Bring about your comfort, oh God, as we walk the land, let us not forgo your perfect peace. My God, we thank you for never leaving us, nor forsake us, and that you love us so. I pray this in Jesus, mighty name. Amen.
