There Is Power In Your No

The moment I started say no, the moment I decided to no longer be a yes man, was the moment that I choose to become free. There is freedom in my No, and peace is my reward.

I’m a people pleaser. Said yes, when I didnt really mean it. I’ve been burnt out, overwhelmed, and stressed because I said yes knowing my soul said otherwises.

What comes with growth is the ability to take responsibility for letting your no be you no, and your Yes be your Yes. No “maybe”, just say how you feel.

I’ve had to learn the hard way, that just because I can do something doesn’t mean I should.

Saying No is a one word sentence.
Saying No with no explanation is perfectly acceptable.

Life is easier to navigate when we are honest with our words and our intentions.

Jesus taught us that anything that isn’t the truth doesn’t come from God. He is the father of Truth, and since we are made in His image, we are to strive to be truthful as well.

Any time we choose the enemy’s lies over God’s truth, we choose death over life.

When I chose to say no, when needed, I am at my best, and I am not overextending myself.

I give from my heart, I give hard, but in my giving, I tend to not set healthy boundaries with others. I don’t properly teach people my boundaries, and I giving until my cup is empty and my peace is dire. As a Christian woman, I know that giving is huge. Helping those on need is huge, but at what point do I say enough is enough? When I’m up at night consumed by thoughts of guilty because I know I can’t say yes, but said it anyway because I feel bad if I don’t?

When I choose to value myself, stop being so scared of others, and focus on doing what God has put in my heart to do, I become free.
Free in Him!
