Happy Thanksgiving To all on this beautiful Thursday morning. I wanted to take this moment to thank the stars, universe, and God for this day. There is so much to be thankful for.
The Special People In My Life
I’m thankful for my Husband. He is my best friend and my #1 fan. From him I get unconditional love and acceptance. He always makes me feel like loved, and treat me like a queen. He has never judged me, put me down, and has always talked to me with respect. I’m the luckiest woman in the world for having found my soul mate.
My Father for always be there for me. Even when I rebelled, he never gave up on me. I fought so much to go against him that I sometimes took for granted what he was trying to teach me. I am grateful for his bold love.
My Mother for being a great example of a strong woman with a great big heart. She taught me to be kind, how to stand up for myself, and gave me unconditional support.
I am thankful to be the daughter of two amazing people.
I’m thankful for my Childhood and the learning experiences I gained that have gotten me to where I am at today.
I’m thankful for my Friends. If I named them all individually, from wonderful acquaintances to tried and true friends, I’d run out of space. I don’t have a large number of close friends. Some are close enough to be considered my family, but I do know there are a lot of good people, near and far, who I can count on, who care about me, and who want only the best for me. I truly value my friends and will never have “enough” or too many!
I’m thankful for My Kids for teaching me to lighten up. To have fun and remind me what it’s like to be free and silly. They keep me on my toes. I’m thankful for the bonds that I have been able to build with each one of them individually. Thankful for the opportunity to be the best mother I can be.
I’m thankful for My Family. For my sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles.
For the Blackwells, thank you for always making me feel apart of the family.
For the Morris Family, I’m thankful for the connections I have made in the recent years. Facebook has helped me to get to know my father’s side of the family a lot easier considering how big our family is.
I am thankful for My Loving Church. Hope is an amazing church filled with such wonderful people. People that I am proud to call my church family.
Things about me that I’m thankful for:
I am thankful that I am a nice person (Or at least I think so). I’m hardly perfect, but it’s good to know in my heart that I’m a kind person. I’d never intentionally hurt anyone. I don’t believe in being mean. I hate to see anyone cry and love to see people smile. I am very shy, and I am not the best at socializing, but I genuinely appreciate and care about people.
So thankful for Accomplishing Goals. To some degree or another, I’ve had opportunities to accomplish some goals and it’s a wonderful feeling. To know you set out to do something and did it is exhilarating. I now have chosen to make a list of all the things I want to do in my life and I am thankful to have the chance to accomplish them one by one.
I’m thankful that I know when to quit. I like knowing that I’m able to walk away from things that don’t make me happy or aren’t satisfying. Sometimes it takes a while to come to terms with “quitting,” but I’m glad I’ve had the guts to do it when it has really mattered. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have had the opportunities to open the door to explore new things.
I am thankful that I can be joyful and be able to laugh especially when the going gets tough. I will not give a person nor any circumstances the power to take away my joy. One thing I found out about me is that I can find the funnies even when I’m having a bad day. I like that I can often smile my way through difficulties and find the bright side.
Thank you God, for my Good Health. Knock on wood! This should probably be way at the top of the list, but I’m really not writing this in any particular order. So far, I’ve never had any major health issues. One can never know for sure what will happen in that regard, but I’m thankful that I’ve been blessed with good health.
I’m thankful that I tend to be a bit Sensitive. Some folks may say I’m too sensitive at times, but in a way I’m glad, because that means I’m sensitive to other people’s feelings, also. I’d rather be too sensitive than not sensitive enough. To be sensitive helps me to have a sense of compassion for others. Giving me a sense of humility.
I am beyond grateful and thankful for Personal growth. Sooo thankful for it! To be able to grow every year, everyday. To be the best me I can be. Who wouldn’t want to be, right?
I am thankful for Opportunity and Freedom. To be about to do whatever interests me. Thankful that I have a supportive husband who allows me put my feet in the water of different ponds of my leisure. To be able to do whatever my hearts desire and be able to look back and say, “YES, I’ve lived a fulfilled life and did it ALL!” Freedom to be me. Can’t get any better than that.
All Sorts of Things:
I am really thankful for Perspective. So thankful to be able to have this particular life tool. To be able to be aware of oneself and admit my mistakes. To be able to stop and think before I speak. To be able to be considerate with others and where they are coming from. To try not to judge because at the end of the day we ALL have flaws and we need to work on changes ourselves and not others.
I’m thankful for The seasons: I love them all. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. There are so many wonderful, special things about each. The spring is filled with new life. Flowers blooming, and birds chirping. The summer is for vacations, beaches, bbqs, tank tops, and shorts. I love fall colors. The oranges and browns that sprout out in the life around us. The fall is for eating candy and giving thanks. I love the chilly, crisp air during the winter. It’s boots and scarves season which I love!
I’m Thankful for Hot showers: Need I say more??
Teachers: Not an easy job. They are with our kids 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Dealing with trying to keep them focus, teach them what they need to learn, while dealing with their tantrums, bad mouths, and sour attitudes. To also have to deal with parents attitudes, fellow staffs members, and paperwork. They are doing the best the can with our children. I’m especially thankful for some of the great ones the I have encountered throughout my life and inspired me to continue my work with kids.
I am thankful for the Micheal’s Craft Store: I’m like a kid in s candy store when I’m there. To be able to have a store where I can go in and explore my creativity is awesome!
So thankful for the soup, Pho. Who doesn’t love this soup. delicious soup, nice quantity, for a good price. Could eat it everyday. Definitely a great comfort food for me.
I’m thankful for my Crock Pot. It may sound silly, but it’s true. It’s my Go To appliance in my kitchen. Throw a bunch of food in there, turn it on, and be about your day. Set It and Forget It! Dinner is served!
I’m thankful for Maps: I like looking at them and using them. I’m usually thinking about or planning to go somewhere if I’m looking at one, and I’m probably doing something fun if I’m using one. They sure do make it easier for me to figure out where I want to go, where I am, and where I’m heading.
Thankful for the Kindness of Strangers. I love to see people do things out of the goodness of their heart. Not because of some underlined motives. To buy a stranger a coffee just to be nice or to hold the door open for a person. Making a meal for a neighbor or offering a listening ear. Small things can make a big difference in someone’s life. You just never know.
I am thankful for Memories. It’s fun to reminisce. It’s also fun to chat about “old times” with others who were there, too. Sometimes laugh or cry. Starting with, “Remember when?” and ending it with, “Those were the days.” can be some of the best conversations.
I’m totally grateful and thankful for the Hard Times in life, because they’ve made me stronger and wiser. Going through the tough times good times even better.
I’m thankful for Rainy Days. Rainy days makes me feel relaxed. It’s a great excuse to curl up with a blanket, read a good book or watch a good movie.
I am Thankful for The Little Things. To be able to get up in the morning and have a moment to myself with tea before the day starts. To go for a walk on the Creek Trail and stop to gaze at the clouds. To be able watch a butterfly fly past. To listen to your child talk to each other from another room, and here them tell each other they are the best. It’s the moment when you get to slow down and smell the roses. It is the little things that matter.
Thankful for Today: Thankful to be able to breath day! To be able to wake up in my husband’s arm. To see a smile on the kids face when I got out of bed this morning. To be able to see, hear, walk, laugh, and burp even is just a blessing within itself.
I am truly thankful for God. Without his grace, strength, and guidance. I am thankful to God for my life, his presence in my family, and in my church. Thankful for his sacrifice and is unfailing love.
Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours!! Stay Blessed!

We have so much to be thankful for –all from the hand of God! Pho caught my attention as my mother-in-law is Vietnamese and eats Pho–is this the same soup? Interesting if it is!
You are right! So much to be thankful for!
Pho is a Vietnamese soup! It’s the best during the winter and rainy months. I wish I could make it at home. Maybe your mother in law has a recipe that she can share 😉
