I asked my 14 year old son to sweep up a mess that he and his brother made. When he was done he decided to play around with the broom. Treating it’s like his ninja sword he broke the broom in half. He ended up slicing his finger with the broken broom, and we had to take a trip to the emergency room.
6 stitches and a splint was needed
After two weeks of waiting, he finally got them taken out yesterday.
I asked my son, “What was the lesson learned?”
He said, “To do my work and not play a round like you asked me to do.”
I replied with, “Exactly! Love you just the same though”
“Love you to Mom.”
I mean really, who gets stitches from playing with a broom Ha Ha Ha . Kids will be kids, right? Love them tremendously!
