Have you ever woke up in shear panic because you think you forgot something?
Let me tell you about my Failed Mommy Moment #247!
Just last week, I was telling my husband how tired I was, and he suggested that I take a nap. I didn’t really want to, but I knew if I didn’t, I would not be the best I could be once the kids got home in the afternoon.
So, I took the chance, laid down, and went to sleepyland in a matter of minutes.
I was having a good dream, when all of a sudden I woke up. I looked at the clock, and instantly went into panic mode. You guys should have seen the way I jumped out of bed. I was running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I put my shoes on, grabbed my keys, and ran out of the door.
I was feeling so anxious on the way to the girl’s school. Worried that my girls were sitting out in the hot sun, trying to figure out where their mom was. Feeling bad, because I didn’t want them to think I forgot about them.
Once I got to the school parking lot, I noticed that the normal pick up traffic was not around. No cars, no parents, no yard duty workers. I parked my car, and sat there feeling a bit confused.
Then, it dawns on me, that it was NOT minimum day!! HAHAHA!!
I couldn’t believe what I had done! I don’t know what came over me, but I know that I needed to stop, take a breathe, and get my brain together, lol.
Sometimes, You just got to laugh at yourself, right? You just can’t take every mishaps in life so seriously.
Now, that I’m done rambling, Let’s get to the topic at hand.
