Lacing Up And Hitting The Pavement

I have a love for running. I eagerly run 4-5 days a week. It’s a past time for me. Even as a little kid I always ran everywhere, I was always ready to race someone, and I even joined the track team. Running helps me to relive stress, and gain peace of mind. I talk to God during my runs. I like to run on nature trails and enjoy the scenery around me. I meditate on my breathing which aids in keeping my energy level high. I also have a really good playlist coming out of my earphones.

Whether you lace up get your health going or to lose weight, there are many benefits to running.

The top 10 running benefits are:

1. Boost your immune system

2. Strengthen lungs

3. Promotes sense of wellbeing

4. Burns calories and aids in weight loss

5. Builds and tones muscles

6. Increases bone density

7. Supports health blood sugar levels

8. Promotes cardiovascular health

9. Gives you a better self image

10. Lessens the effects of Asthma

Why not do it, right?

You can always start out slow with just walking 10 minutes a day and then work your way up. Set a pace for yourself that works. Makes some goals that you can stick to. Keep a Walking Jar. Put a dollar in the jar for every time to walk or workout. Spend it when you reach your goal.

I like running so much that I have plans to do a few 5K runs this year. I did the Rave Run already. Next I plan to do the Color Me Rad Run and the Bubble Run. If you are interested and doing this then let me know.

Are you a runner? A walker? Would you do a 5K?
