Halloween Is Around The Corner!

I am behind this year on my decorations but I manged to get a few things up around the house to show our spirit.

I decided to make a simple wreath for my front door. I went to my staogre unit eaerlier this week and got out my Halloween decor container. While going through the container, I came across some spiders, some tulle, and a wreath tube. While at Micheal’s craft store I purchased a roll of pretty Halloween colored ribbon. It was on sale for %50 off the regular price. Can’t past up a deal 😉

I gathered all of my supplies

I started wrapped the tulle I had around the tube. After I wrapped it around, I secured the end with some hot glue.

Then I proceeded to do the same with the ribbon I had. Also sealing it at the end with hot glue.

I used the hot glue to glue the spiders and the bird on to the wreath

The end results came out beautiful. It was easy to make. Took me less than 15 minutes to make. Costed me close to nothing to put together. The wreath tube was the most expensive thing I purchased at $5.00. The ribbons were $1 each. Both from Micheal’s Craft Store. The Spiders were $2.00 dollars from Walmart. The bird was a quarter at a garage sale, and the purple tulle was free because I have a drawer full of different color tulle.

With my table of Body parts, I had some vases that I found at a garage sale. I went to the dollar store and found an array of body parts for cheap! Grab a hand, a heart, a liver, and set it on a tray that I also got from a garage sale. The results:

My boys have a fear of spiders so naturally, I decorated my Halloween corner with these Martha Stewart Spiders at Micheal’s Craft store on sale with my coupon for $5 dollars. It was a nice added touch to the decor, but also simple.

And of course I had to bring on my centerpiece from last year.

I colored some rice the color orange and filled up the inside of a vase. Then I glued on some black web material that i found at the dollar store. I also got the bugs from the dollar store and the flowers from Micheal’s. I hot glued the bugs onto the vase and the flowers. When dry, you have your self a beautiful centerpiece for cheap.

I had a lot of plans to decorate, however, I just ran out of time to put all of my ideas to use. I think I’m going to work on my ideas for next year and get the stuff this year, after Halloween, when decor goes on sale.

How did you decorate your home for Halloween this year?
