I go to craft night at my church once a month. It’s a fun evening, with ladies I love, and crafting!! Everyone who comes has to bring a snack to share. I decided to bring Homemade Peanut Butter Cups. These peanut butter cups are tasty and much better health wise than the ones at the store. The ones in the store are full of calories and toxic chemicals that I can’t even pronounce. These cups are really easy to make. So easy that even my kids can make them.
Here is what you need:
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup smooth almond butter or peanut butter (I use my homemade peanut butter)
1/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
First you melt the coconut oil.
Blend all ingredients together in a food processor or blender. ( I use my Kitchen Aid Mixer)
Pour into paper-lined muffin tin cups or silicon muffin cups and fill half-inch full. Chill for 30 minutes or freeze for 10 minutes.
When firm, remove.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
I make big batches and put up for later. One of our favorite snacks in our household.
