What do you eat for breakfast?
I get asked that question a lot. More so now that I have been working out these last 7 months. I used to not eat breakfast at all. One of my excuses would be that I was too busy taking care of them to even think about taking care of myself. The times when I did eat breakfast I would go out to eat, and I would eat until my stomach hurt.
No one should be able to eat a stack of pancakes in one sitting. Yes I said it folks, a stack. That’s 5 pancakes at once!
I’m going to go ahead and admit that I have a love affair with food. I love the way food smells. Good food smells so good that your stomach starts talking. Then your mind starts to go and your heart beats a little faster. You get that first bite and your tongue explodes!!!
Don’t act like you’ve never been this happy about food. Surely I can’t be alone in my addiction.
Now a days, since I have been exercising and working on a healthy, long lasting, lifestyle change, I make it a point to eat a nutritious breakfast everyday.
I always have a protein. My top 4 favorites are Lox, 3 egg whites, 2 eggs whites with 1 whole egg, or plain Greek yogurt.
I always have a grain. Quinoa, Half of a double fiber english muffin, ezekiel bread, or oatmeal plain cooked in water with ground flax seeds.
I always have a green vegetable. I love raw Kale, Spinach, Broccoli, and even Avocados.
I keep it simple, filling, and all under 400 calories.
Do you make sure to eat breakfast? If so what do you eat?
