I went to Thanksgiving service last night at my church. The sermon was a great one. One that was focused on what to be thankful for in regards to our Lord and savior.
I was also blown away because my oldest decided to stand and let the church know that he was thankful for God, our church family, and his family’s love and support. Brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
We are to be thankful to God.
For his presence in our life:
This is the finest measure of thanksgiving: a thankfulness that springs from love. – William Skeath
For his presence in our family:
Giving thanks is a course from when we never graduate. – Valerie Anders
For his presence in our church family:
A thankful hear is not only the greatest virtue but the parent of all other virtues. -Cicero
For his presence in our church ministry:
For the ability to be of service to a fellow creature we ought to give thanks and not demand it. – Bishop Scott
For three things I thank God every day of my life: thanks that he has vouchsafed me knowledge of his works; deep thanks that he has set in my darkness the lamp of faith; deep, deepest thanks that I have another life to look forward to–a life joyous with light and flowers and heavenly song. ~ Helen Keller
As children of God, we all are to be thankful for his sacrifice.

Happy Thanksgiving.
