Banana Split Overnight Oats

I love oatmeal. It’s healthy for you, it’s filling, high in fiber and considered a good carb.

  • Oatmeal aids in Weight loss. It keeps you fuller longer. Helping to fight off hunger. A balanced breakfast packed with fiber and protein.

  • Oatmeal is also packed with nutrients and minerals like  iron, magnesium, and vitamin B1.

  • 1 Cup of Oatmeal has been shown to lower you cholesterol, fight against heart disease, and colon cancer.

I grew up with my Mom making me hot, brown sugar and butter oatmeal for breakfast. I can still smell that brown sugar in my nose as I type this. Gives me a sense of nostalgia. mmmm mmmm 😛

Over the years, with kids, I’ve had to learn to make quick breakfasts that I can just grab first thing in the morning, before I wake everyone else up. Oatmeal is prefect for a grab-on-the-go meals. If you got oatmeal, milk, greek yogurt, chia seeds (if that’s your thing), some fruit, and a little sweetener (optional), then you are good to go.

Notes

Add your favorite nuts.
Try Strawberry flavored Greek yogurt in place of the plain, however, that will add more sugar to your oats
You can use Coconut Milk,Cows Milk, or any other milk of your liking.
**I went back and added 1/4 Cup Pineapple, diced. Half mixed in, and the other half as a topping. A nice addition to the oats.
