Watermelon Popcicles

It’s a warm one today.

The boys and I are keeping cool in the house with the air on while the girls play outside with the neighbors. I decided to slice up my watermelon and make popsicles. A cold treat for the girls to snack on with their friends out in the heat.

Watermelon is a tasty and flavorful fruit that is usually ate during summer in order to keep our bodies hydrated and refreshed. It contains 90% water, and is full of vitamins A,C, B6.

To make the popsicles I grabbed my cutting board, knife, and watermelon. I was out of popcicle sticks I use these other sticks that I had from my bake set. I also grabbed some cookie cutters to see if I could cut out shapes.

After slicing the watermelon I laid them flat on their sides, and used my cookie cutters to cut out the shapes. If you don’t have any, then you can just use a knife to cut out any shape you would like. You can also freeze your leftover pieces of watermelon and add them to your water later.

I pushed the stick in, and placed them on a cookie sheet that I lined with parchment paper.

Put them in the freezer for 45 minutes to an hour.
